The Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has announced that he is mentally and physically ready for the World Cup 2010.

"Since I got on the plane from England to travel to Argentina and join the group, I have been thinking about the opener against Nigeria." Said tevez.

Quarter final prediction

England beating Mexico

Though Mexico is a good team, I don’t think they might be able to beat England in the quarter final. England has a stronger team this time.

Brazil beating Netherlands

Again, I’m making a bold prediction here. It’s not about Brazil winning but it’s about how easily they would beat Netherlands. There is no doubt that Brazil is gonna win this match.

Germany beating Argentina

I admit that Argentina wants the trophy at any cost. But something tells me that they are going to be beaten by Germany. Their overconfidence perhaps might be a cause for their elimination in the quarter final.

Portugal beating Italy

The top-top favourites Italy and Portugal. I really think that Portugal is gonna beat Spain.

2nd round prediction:

I guess in this world cup history is not a big matter. Any magic can happen in 2010 world cup . the 2nd round prediction is somewhat like this.

Mexico beating Greece

I don’t see has a chance to beat Mexico in the world cup. I think Mexicans have too much quality in them to win the match easily.
England beating Australia

England has to progress this stage pretty comfortably if Capello has to justify any of this remuneration package. I think they would get past Australia comfortably.

Germany beating United States
Germany is a very tricky team. They have great coordination among the players. So think they could easily beat United States.

Argentina beating France
Argentina just wants the world cup trophy or nothing. Though France has a wonderful world cup career, I don’t think they can stand in front of Argentina.

Netherlands beating Paraguay
I expect Netherlands to come out all guns blazing and knocking all the confidence out of their opponent by the half time. This is as much as they can get without Robben. They are getting past Paraguay without breaking a sweat.

Brazil beating Chile
The statement of brazil this time is” either world cup trophy or nothing” they might not face that much difficulty to beat chili.

Italy beating Denmark

Italy is much more stronger than Denmark. So no doubt that they are gonna win this round.

Portugal beating Spain
The battle of the neighbors would clearly show how far these teams are in terms of football ability. Though Spain is a strong team, something tells me that they might be beaten by Portugal.

The biggest rivals of the world cup: Brazil and Argentina

Brazil and Argentina has been the main rivals forever in world cups. In this world cup 2010, both team has built a strong battalion to win the trophy.

Brazil:

Here is the Brazil squad:
The brazilian squad consists of the following:
Julio Cesar, Victor, Maicon, Lucio, Luisao, Andre Santos, Dani Alves, Juan, Miranda, Filipe, Filipe Melo, Gilberto Silva, Kaka, Sandro, Elano, Julio Baptista, Lucas, Ramires, Adriano, Luis Fabiano, Robinho, Nilmar

Brazil may have featured some unknown players in their squad for the big game but also some quality players with tons of experience

The key player of Brazil is definately Kaka; who is a fabulousy performing star. He was Voted World Player Of The Year in 2007 after a wonderful season. He scored his 1st international goal in a 6-1 friendly win over Iceland in 2002. When he was signed by Real Madrid he was welcomed by 50,000 fans at the bernabeu proving what a great signing the madrid fans thought he was.

Argentina:

Argentina have also selected almost the same like Brazil did, with a few Good and unknown players.

Here’s the squad:
Andujar, Carrizo, Romero, Burdisso, Coloccini, Dominguez, Heinze, Otamendi, Papa, Pareja, Schiavi, Zanetti, Battaglia, Bolatti, Brato, Datolo, Gago, Mascherano, Rodriguez, Veron, Aguero, Lavezzi, Lopez, Messi, Milito, Palermo, Salvio, Tevez.

The key player of Argentina is Lionel Messi, who played 38 games for the country and been nominated 2 times for FIFA player of the year at a very young age of 22 which is really remarkable. The Barcelona frontman has made lots of goals for his country and is very much optimistic about making more goals against Brazil.

Are Greece and south Korea competent for Argentina?

Group B consists of these four teams: Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea and Greece. And there is no doubt in saying that Maradona’s Argentina is defenately going to the second round.

It may be funny but true that Diego Maradona has declared that he would run nude through the streets if Argentina wins the World Cup. So according to Maradona wishing Argentina for passing the knockout round is a silly thing.

Lionel Messi has proved himself as one of the top players, if not the best, in world football. Diego Milito has been on fire all season at Inter Milan. Those two are projected starters up front but the bench is even more frightening. Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain could all easily start up front for any of the other three teams in Group B.

Greece and South Korea has a little possibility of success while they have argentina to compete for. Greece Is an Otto Rehhagel's team. They were the shock winner at the 2004 Euros but since then the Greeks have been less than impressive. They did not make it to Germany in 2006 and in the 2008 Euros, they had a less than stellar performance.

The illuminating Greek players are: Vasilis Torosidis, Theofanis Gekas, Sotirios Kyrgiakos

South Korea is not a bad team but not a good team as well. They can not maintain consistency.

Park Ji-Sung is the captain of the squad and also one of the veteran leaders. How Park orchestrates the outside with the services for the forwards will be a huge key to the team's success in South Africa. Nwankwo Kanu is a strong veteran presence in the Nigerian team and is also one of the most famous African footballers on the continent. That combination could lead Kanu to score a very important goal to lead an African to the knockout stage. Taye Taiwo is poised to breakout. He is one of the the best young defenders not playing in the big three leagues. Playing at Marseille, Taiwo has already expressed that he would like to stay at the Ligue 1 club, but as the case is with many other young players, if a big club comes calling with big bucks, there is a better chance they leave.

Nigeria or The Super Eagles might be the team which may lit the light of winning the world cup.In group B they comes next to Argentina. With the a good mix of experience and youth in Lars Lagerback's squad, there is hope that Nigeria could advance out of the group as long as they score half as much than the Argentines are expected to.

Lee Dong-Guk is finally looking for his chance to shine in a World Cup after missing 2006 with an injury and not making the 2002 squad. Lee is one of the older players in the tournament that will be most likely playing in his last World Cup.Lee Chung-Yong is the Bolton Wanderers forward is part of the new generation of South Korean stars to make it to big European clubs and could be a good complement to Park Ji-Sung in the midfield.

Prediction;
1st- Argentina
2nd- Nigeria

Argentina:
June 12 vs. Nigeria, June 17 vs. South Korea, June 22 vs. Greece

Argentina, The champions of 1978 and 1986—are still top favourite

Argentina, which is the runners-up in the first World Cup, has continued their forms. Argentina were champions in 1978 and 1986 and were about to own the trophy in 1990 before losing 1-0 to West Germany in the final. They are still one of the most favourite teams in the world cup 2010.

But the scenery has changed a lot from the past. When Argentina won in 1986, the tricks were very simple- just give the ball to Maradona, so El Diego can be forgiven for struggling with the finer points of football playing systems. Now the coach Maradona may have planned many other tricks to win the trophy.

Argentina team is also known as- La Albiceleste, after their famous white and sky-blue shirts.

The most favourite player in this world cup is Lionel Messi who is the 865th new Maradona and the only one to deserve the tag. Argentina has built their team around him and there is no way of denying his importance. Once he has the ball, it needs to pass it through the goal post. The 22-year-old winger Angel di María's skill and ability to score from distance have seen his price tag rise to £35m, which puts him at the lower end of City's budget.Gabriel Heinze never met a shinbone he didn't want to nestle his studs into and when he sought a move to Liverpool he became a hate figure for Manchester United fans.

Argentina team is very much appreciated for their team management. Maradona has not been steady but the attacking possibilities are fabulous, with Messi accompanied by Sergio Agüero and Carlos Tévez. We can hope for an excellent performing Argentina in world cup 2010.

Brazilian fans—Get ready

Brazil is the only team to have appeared at every World Cup which has an excellent record: five-times winners; runners-up in 1950 and 1998; semi-finalists in 1938, 1974 and 1978. The 1970 team are seen as one of the best teams ever and their fourth goal in the final. So like every world cup, this time they are also the top favourute.

Brazil play a 4-2-3-1 with Luís Fabiano as a lone centre-forward ahead of Robinho, Kaká and Ramires. Though Dunga's decision to leave out Ronaldinho has arised questions to many, the team Brazil for world cup 2010 is excellent .

The rivals of brazil are Argentina, Argentina and Argentina.in fact Argentina is the only competitor of Brazil. When the teams met in the last 16 of the 1990 World Cup Argentina's medical team were accused of putting tranquillisers in Branco's water as Brazil crashed out.

Brazil team is also known as-- The poetic – canarinhos (little canaries); the imposing – a selecção (the selection); and the factual – verde amarela (yellow and green).

Team Brazil; consists of some extra ordinary and excellent playes.Kaká. Clean-living, fresh-faced poster boy who plays for Real Madrid and Jesus. Luís Fabiano is linked to the Premier League every other second and his speed and strength is suited to the English game. Sevilla want around £18m for him and Harry Redknapp, down to 53 fit strikers, could see him as the man to bolster Spurs' Champions League campaign. stepovering Robinho has a tendency to go missing on the pitch he also regularly dropped off Manchester City's radar before being packed off to Santos.

Dunga's men have talent as well as power and cocordination. But the attackers are not quite so distinguished as in the past but overall resources are very rich.So Brazilian fans may get ready to see their tams as champions of world cup 2010.
