England may face vulnerable situation
Wayne Rooney Hope Powell believes England must be able to cope with Wayne Rooney who may suffer an injury during World Cup 2010.
It is heard that everyone is not happy with the team management. Even the recent reports of players are not satisfying at all. Their preparation is most probably not up to the mark. The debate goes to the selection process as well. Most coaches can tell us their first-choice team but the bigger picture is providing cover.
God forbid, if Wayne Rooney gets injured , there has no centre-forward to replace him. The whole world knows about Rooney and he is going to get marked and targeted.A lot of hidden factors go into selection decisions. In such a specific environment as a World Cup there are reasons why some players get picked and it is not always about technical ability.
There is no denying fat that World Cup football is seriously tough. The jump between club and country is huge. The expectations for England to do well and win a major tournament are enormous. The newspapers, the fans – it is a lot for players to deal with – and difficult for players to cope.
In tournament football anything can happen .But team England has a possibility to face a vulnerable situation. Nevertheless, we can wish all the very best for England during world cup 2010.
