Nike and Adidas’s new soccer theme.

Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, is a star of Nike's new commercial.With the World Cup going to kick off in a few days, sports apparel giants Nike and Adidas have both launched their new soccer-themed commercials.

Nike's "Write the Future" ad has already made good responds since its debut two weeks ago, getting more than 12,000,000 views on the company's YouTube page.

The three-minute-long commercial features soccer superstars Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. Fast-paced and frenzied, its storyline follows the potential fates awaiting these three players as they kick, tackle and pass the ball across the field during the big game.

Adidas' offering, which made its debut on YouTube last week, takes place off the field, set in a galaxy far, far away.

The ad features celebrities and aliens watching the game on flat screen TVs in the Star Wars cantina and uses footage from the original films. Soccer star David Beckham makes an appearance at the end of the commercial.
