Fans, let’s just wish a good luck for Drogba

Not only Ivory coast, in fact I guess the whole world is tensed whether Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba can play in the world cup 2010 or not after a serious injury of his elbow in a low-key friendly match against Japan on Friday which turned into an unexpected drama.

Drogba doesn’’t want to miss the world cup but unless he recovers from injury no one can say what is gonna happen. But the coach and teammates wants him to play.Drogba, who is a talismanic figure for the Elephants with 42 goals in 67 appearances, limped off after a crunching challenge from Tulio sent him falling awkwardly to the ground after 15 minutes.

"It's difficult for us to lose such a really important player," said Toure. "I think the news is not the best, maybe he will even not play the World Cup and it's really bad for us.

"We are just waiting for the doctor to take the decision because we don't know yet.”

"He's such an important player, he's a really important player even if he's not on the pitch, to have him with us, it would be really nice to have us by our side, and we hope he will come back.”

"He was sad and that's it. We can just see that he was sad and when you say that, you can't ask any more." Said Toure.

But Drogba had a surgery and according to doctor’s report he will recover soon. So he may have the chance to join the world cup. So fans, let’s just wish a good luck for him.

Carlos Queiroz wants his players to play in their own style.

Portugal national team coach Carlos Queiroz wants to make the best use of the injury of Cote d'Ivoire star Didier Drogba in the world cup 2010. The Chelsea striker remains in doubt for the entire World Cup after sustaining a fractured elbow in the Ivory Coast's 2-0 friendly win over Japan in Sion on Friday.

Drogba is regarded as the main threat to Portugal when the two national squads meet each other in their World Cup opener on June 15.Queiroz declared that he is only thinking about his own team.

"When great players are out of the biggest spectacle in world football it is always a shame,"."But right now we are only thinking about our team. My worry is to think about what we will do. The more we impose our game the more they will have problems.” he said at a press conference.

He added that,"I want the players to know the match is ours and the style will be our own. I do not want them to give up playing good football. I do not want to play like England, Germany or Brazil, I want us to play like Portuguese teams have always played.”

Moreover he said about Drogba, "I do not care if Drogba plays or not, it is a shame for the World Cup, but more important is that we have our style."

Can Portugal make a success in this world cup? As they are in the Toughest group including Brazil and Ivory Coast.Let’s hope for the best for Portugal
