Injuries playing a huge role in world cup 2010

It seems that injuries have been part and parcel of the world cup 2010. No team is in an ideal condition because of the injury of the most reliable players.

The Brazilians are praying that Kaká will remain fit for the duration of the World Cup. Kaka is facing some kind of muscle problem. Though he thinks that this is very normal for all sports man, it might be dangerous for him as well as the Brazil team. Because his team is quite dependent on him.

There is good cause to blame a grueling domestic schedule when bodies give way at the close of a campaign, but ill luck, too, is a factor. Michael Ballack, for instance, could not recover in time after the ankle damage inflicted by Kevin-Prince Boateng's challenge during Chelsea's victory over Portsmouth in the FA Cup final.

Ivory Coast's captain, Drogba just had a fracture and he has a little possibility to participate in the world cup. After his operation the doctors said that he might play in the world cup. but another option is still remaining that he might not be able to play.

Some have already accepted the reality and the Chelsea pair of Michael Essien and Mikel John Obi will not be in action for Ghana or Nigeria respectively. It is particularly unsettling to see African nations diminished when a World Cup here ought, among other things, to be a celebration of all they bring to football.

Curiously South Africa, who once looked sure to be helpless hosts, now seem the most ready as they didn’t face any injury problem. This injuries may break millions of peoples dream. We can just pray for all the injured players to get well soon.
